Yeti and Sasquatch (whom now refer to themselves as "The Yetis") were cast away from their "real" mountains at birth for being too cute and cuddly in comparison to other Yetis. The exiled Yetis took residence at Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario. When their exile started, the baby yetis faced countless nights with only one another for company. Alone, battling against the elements through the shivering cold and rainy nights, they thought they would never know the friendship of another for their entire lives.
That was until they met Yama, a mountain witch who taught the Yetis "anime". Through “anime” the Yetis' eyes were opened to a whole new world: they learned lessons of morals, friendship, and bravery, and expanded their knowledge to encompass many things humans refer to as “geeky”. The lessons learned throughout the geeky stories Yama would bring to them emboldened the Yetis to finally invite those who shared geeky passions to their mountain.
YetiCon only takes place once a year, and the Yetis' hope that all those who attend have the time of their lives and forge friendship everlasting.
